January 25th-26th: Burns' Day Storm/Cyclone Daria, northwestern Europe: at least 76 people were killed

February 26th-27th: Storm Vivian, western Europe: 64 people were killed

1991

April 24th-30th: Unnamed cyclone, Bangladesh, northeastern India, Myanmar, and Yunnan Province, China: 138,866 people were killed

June 11th-17th: Typhoon Yunya/Typhoon Diding, Philippines and Taiwan: 326 people were killed in total

October 28th-November 2nd: Perfect Storm/No-Name Storm, mid-Atlantic and northeastern United States and eastern Canada: 13 people were killed in total

November 1st-8th: Tropical Storm Thelma, Philippines and Vietnam: 5,081 to 8,165 people were killed

1992

August 16th-29th: Hurricane Andrew, Bahamas and southeastern/eastern United States: 65 people were killed

1993

July 4th-9th: Hurricane Calvin, Southwestern and western Mexico, Baja California Sur: 37 people were killed in total

August 22nd-September 6th: Hurricane Emily, east coast of the United States, particularly the Outer Banks of North Carolina: 3 people were killed in total

September 14th-26th: Hurricane Gert, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize, and Mexico: 116 people were killed

1994

August 14th-26th: Typhoon Fred, Taiwan, Japan, and China: 3,063 people were killed in total

November 8th-21st: Hurricane Gordon, Central America, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, the United States: 1,152 people were killed

1995

August 28th-September 12th: Hurricane Luis, Leeward Islands, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Bermuda, parts of the northeastern USA, and Newfoundland, Canada: 19 people were killed in total

September 27th-October 6th: Hurricane Opal, Guatemala, Yucatan Peninsula, the Gulf Coast of the USA, the Ohio River Valley, and Ontario, Canada: 63 people were killed in total

October 25th-November 7th: Typhoon Angela/Typhoon Rosing, Micronesia, Philippines, south China, and Vietnam: 936 people were killed in total

November 7th-11th: India cyclone, India, Bangladesh, and Nepal: 236 people were killed in total

1996

August 23rd-September 10th: Hurricane Fran, southeastern and mid-Atlantic United States: 27 people were killed

November 4th-7th: Andhra Pradesh cyclone, India: 1,077 people were killed

1997

September 9th-21st: Hurricane Linda, Socorro Island, southwestern Mexico, and southern California, USA: no people were killed, but it was for eighteen years the most intense eastern Pacific hurricane recorded, also the most intense tropical cyclone in the world in 1997

October 31st-November 9th: Typhoon Linda/Tropical Depression Openg, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar: 3,275 people were killed

1998

June 4th-10th: Gujarat cyclone, India and Pakistan: 1,173 people were killed

September 15th-October 1st: Hurricane Georges, Leeward Islands, Puerto Rico, Hispaniola, Cuba, and southeastern United States: 604 people were killed

October 22nd-November 9th: Hurricane Mitch, Central America (particularly Honduras and Nicaragua), Yucatan Peninsula, USA, Jamaica, Ireland, and the United Kingdom: over 11,374 people were killed, making this the second-deadliest Atlantic hurricane

December 24th-29th: Boxing Day Storm, Ireland and the United Kingdom: nobody was killed

1999

May 16th-22nd: Pakistan cyclone, India and Pakistan: 6,400 people were killed

September 7th-19th: Hurricane Floyd, Lucayan Archipelago, east coast of the United States, and Atlantic Canada: 85 people were killed

October 25th-November 4th: Odisha cyclone, Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and India (particularly Odisha): at least 9,887 people were killed
